Get 1,000 Clubcard points with the Tesco Clubcard MasterCard

It is rare that you get a bonus directly for signing up for the Tesco Clubcard MasterCard.

Until December 15th 2013, however, Tesco Bank is offering 1,000 Clubcard points when you apply.  These will be triggered when you make your first purchase.

The standard earning rate on the card is 1 Clubcard point for every £4 you spend.  This is not incredibly generous and you need to think about how you use your Clubcard points before you can know if this is a better deal than a cashback credit card.  The good news is that there is no annual fee to pay.
