Tesco Direct is offering 500 extra Clubcard points when buying certain Brother printers. If you are planning on buying a new printer this might sound tempting. But even a quick look at various online retailers shows that Tesco deals aren’t always that great.
PC World, Staples and Argos for example sell the Brother DCP-J4120dw Wireless All-in-one Colour Inkjet Printer for £70, Amazon has it for £60 and Tesco? Still selling it for the original price of £119. That is twice the price!!
To be fair 500 extra Clubcard points seem pretty striking. Especially as the Brother HL-1112 Laser Printer usually only gets you 59 Clubcard points. But don’t be blinded by the points. If the printer is £20 cheaper elsewhere, Tesco should offer around 2000 extra Clubcard points. As for the Brother DCP-J4120dw Wireless All-in-one Colour Inkjet Printer we should be talking about at least 6000 extra Clubcard points!
Sometimes a deal simply isn’t as good as it seems. In fact some deals are pretty rubbish.
We like extra points but we don’t like paying a whole lot more for a product just in order to receive them. It’s always worth comparing prices to find the best place to buy a certain product. Remember that Tesco is not always the best deal in town.Want to earn more Clubcard or Nectar points? Click here to visit the Shopper Points home page for the latest news and offers.
