500 extra Clubcard points with selected Epson printers from just £34

Once more Tesco Direct is offering extra Clubcard points when buying a printer. In December I wrote about a not so great deal with Brother printers. The printers were noticeable cheaper elsewhere and Tesco reacted and reduced the prices.

This time you receive 500 extra Clubcard points when buying certain Epson printers. And the deals look much more appealing.

The Epson XP235, Wireless, All-in-One, Inkjet, Colour Printer in black for £34 costs the same on Amazon and £45 at PC World.

Epson XP335, Wireless, All-in-One, Inkjet, Colour Printer in white is £44 at Tesco Direct and £4 cheaper on Amazon.  Looking at the 500 extra Clubcard points on top, it’s still a good deal via Tesco.

The XP235 and XP335 come with 500 extra Clubcard points until 17th January.

Until 20th January you can also pick up extra Clubcard points with two Epson printer and fax machines.

At £49 the Epson WF2630 Wireless All-in-One Colour Inkjet Printer and Fax Machine is £10 cheaper than on Amazon and you get 500 extra Clubcard points – you can’t complain about that!

epson wf2630 tesco 500 extra clubcard pointsThe Epson WF2650 Wireless All-in-one Colour Inkjet Printer and Fax Machine for £59 is available on Amazon for the same price, but obviously without the 500 Clubcard points.  Tesco wins out here.

Tesco Direct has two more Epson printer on offer that come with 500 extra Clubcard points but this offer is a bit confusing on the Tesco website. Instead of showing the Tesco Direct price and the note of 500 extra Clubcard points, the website shows a Tesco Partner price and only when scrolling down to the two other buying options you can find the Tesco Direct price and the 500 extra Clubcard points offer.

The reason for this is probably the fact that the Tesco partners have a better price than Tesco Direct. The Epson XP630 All In One Wi-Fi Printer and Scanner costs £5 less when ordered from the Tesco partner Box (£95 instead of £100).  However, considering the 500 extra Clubcard points it is still worth buying from Tesco Direct – you have the chance of getting 2x, 3x or more of the face value of your 500 points via Clubcard Boost.

The Epson XP432 All in one printer costs £60 at Box (same price on Amazon) and £70 on Tesco Direct.  This is the only deal on this page where I would consider giving Tesco a miss.

Apart from the XP432, however, Tesco’s pricing is very competitive on all of these offers which has not always been the case recently.  If you are in the market for a new printer then I recommend taking a look.

  1. Do they match these deals in store as well ?

    • Some are also available in store but if it isn’t showing extra points they will not add them purely to match Direct.

  2. XP 235 In stock and purchased.. Thanks..

  3. Funny enough, I was going to purchase the Brother HL-1112 laser Printer, but realised it was not wireless. However I’m glad the Epson XP235, Wireless, All-in-One, Inkjet, Colour Printer, was available at £34 still in stock when i purchased it

    • I recently got a wireless printer for the first time and it is fantastic. No need to keep it next to the PC and no messing about with cables. Should have got one years ago.

  4. For those purchasing to keep, be aware that Epsom are notorious for high per-page ink costs.

  5. Instore cost for the xp235 is £42.00 today in my local store.

  6. i never purchase my ink cartridge in store always more expensive . I checked online and can get it between £22- £28 for original cartridge. I currently have a hp photosmart 5510 all in one wireless printer and for the cartridge cost me around £25 , but in a store nuch more

  7. I’ve just added the white XP335 to my basket but the bonus 500 points don’t show, should they? They show on the black one, and on the overview image for the printer, but not on the product page itself, which one is correct?

    thanks

    • It looks to me as if the white one should be OK. However, if the points are not going on automatically then there is clearly an error somewhere – either in the description (perhaps it is only black) or with the checkout.

Trying to retroclaim these points could be messy unfortunately.

You have a couple of days, perhaps it is easier to email Direct first and get it in writing that it counts?

  8. So, when you clicked on the item it automatically defaults to the cheapest version of the item, which in this case is a company called Box and it’s £43.98, and that isn’t in the offer. If you select buy from Tesco it is in the offer and the points show! hurrah!
