Earn 3 x Clubcard points with Avon tyres at Blackcircles (and enter two competitions)

Blackcircles.com has built a hugely successful business selling tyres online – a category which most of us would have thought was safe from the internet! But the world wide web surprises us every day. The business does so well that Michelin acquired it for £50 million last year.

The genius of the Blackcircles business model is its fitting agreement with 1,500 garages across the UK. This means you can get the tyres delivered to a garage of your choice where they will be fully fitted and your old tyres disposed.

The garage will make less money than it would if it was selling you the tyres directly, but it gains extra customers with no marketing effort and does not have to tie up money in tyre stocks.

What makes this service even more appealing is that you can earn Clubcard points with every purchase. I wrote about how to earn Clubcard points with Blackcircles back in January.

How does the Clubcard earning bit work in general?

It depends on the tyres you buy how many points you earn. Currently you can get up to 3 points per £1:

  • 3 Clubcard points for every £1 spent at Blackcircles on eligible Avon and Yokohama tyres
  • 2 Clubcard points for every £1 spent at Blackcircles on eligible Michelin and Quality Choice tyres
  • 1 Clubcard point for every £1 spent at Blackcircles on eligible Dunlop, Goodyear, Kumho, Nokian and Toyo tyres

Once you’ve chosen the tyres (and garage) you can add your Clubcard number. The amount of points that will be added to your Clubcard account is shown on the screen. If you forget to enter your Clubcard number, you’ve got 14 days to contact Blackcircles in order to receive your points.

Note that Tesco Clubcard points are only earned on ‘fully fitted’ orders. If you intend to fit the tyres yourself – although I’m not entirely sure why you’d want to do that! – then you will not receive any points.

Avon tyres competition

From 6th June until 26th June Blackcircles is giving 3 x Clubcard points on eligible Avon tyres and every purchase is also an automatic entry to a competition to win tyres for the whole family (up to 4 sets).

Father’s Day competition

This isn’t all. In time for Father’s day Blackcircles has also launched a competition to win a £200 meal. There are 7 different ways to enter and the more you do the bigger your chance to win.
