20% off selected gift cards at Tesco for Father’s Day – and earn 150 Clubcard points per £50

Father’s day is approaching and what does that mean?  Tesco has got a gift cards offer for you.

According to Tesco, our Dads want to get new clothes (from a teens store), download music and eat a lot of pizza.  OK ….

Until 19th June you get 20% off the following gift cards:

  • £25 iTunes
  • £25 NEW LOOK
  • £20 Pizza Express
  • £20 Pizza Hut

This offer is available in store and from the online gift card shop.

As always, you will also receive 150 Clubcard points when you spend £50 on gift cards. This offer has been running for a few years now and shows no signs of ending, even though it is rarely promoted in stores. It does not include Tesco own-brand gift cards like F+F and other Tesco brands.

How does this offer work?

You need to spend £50 after deducting the saving – that means for example buying two £25 iTunes cards won’t get you the 150 Clubcard points as they’d only cost £40 after deducting 20% so why not get a third card for yourself?

You do not receive base Clubcard points on gift card purchases – if you spend under £50, you won’t receive any Clubcard points at all.

You will receive 150 points per £50, so a £100 purchase will earn you 300 Clubcard points

If you buy in-store, the 150 free points are added at check-out. If you order online, the points do not show on your receipt but will be added a few weeks later.

  1. A quick word of warning – I used the last voucher in a book of 6 Clubcard “Save £x on £y” vouchers yesterday. I normally go up with a couple of other items but I didn’t bother yesterday and the till clerk read the whole voucher and brought her supervisor over before reluctantly accepting it – stating the “gift card” exclusion on the back (which I believe is intended to exclude *Tesco* gift cards).

  2. Why are Nandos vouchers never on offer? If they were, I would literally be all over them like a tramp on chicken and chips! I think I have bought or been given £140 Nandos since Christmas!

    • Probably because Nandos don’t allow them to be reduced and/or wont offer a discount on them.

  3. I buy loads of iTunes vouchers for incentives and sell some too!

Shame they hardly ever do £100 cards just £25.

    🙂

  4. iTunes discount doesn’t seem to be working…

    • Ah, no I misunderstood. Seems you can only request multiple codes of exactly £25 for the discount to trigger.

  5. Very useful heads-up Anika, my Tesco (Lakeside) hadn’t got round to putting the offers up on the gift card stand yesterday so I would never have known if it hadnt of been for the site email. Doubly useful as it was the last week in the current money off voucher cycle. So thanks lot!

  6. It’s worth mentioning that you cannot pay with American Express on that website, so you can’t collect Membership Rewards/Avios with this offer.
