Is it worth converting your Tesco Clubcard points into Diggerland tickets? And how do you do it? Today I want to look at whether Diggerland is a good use of your Clubcard vouchers.
Not all Clubcard Boost offers are a great deal. This page of Shopper Points helps you decide which is the best Clubcard redemption by listing ALL Clubcard Boost offers based on the multiple of face value you get.
As you can see, offers range from 4 x face value (days out vouchers, restaurant deals) down to 2 x. Even at double the face value, of course, you are getting a better deal than redeeming your vouchers in a Tesco store at face value.
Spending Clubcard vouchers on Diggerland tickets
You can convert your Clubcard vouchers into Diggerland tickets on this page of the Tesco website.
You will need £5.50 of Clubcard points for a ticket for either an adult or a child (children under 90cm are free). Your ticket will be posted to you.
The ticket is valid for any of the four Diggerlands in the UK (Durham, Kent, Yorkshire and Devon).
The ticket is valid for six months from the day you redeem.
Is Diggerland a good way to spend your Clubcard points?
On the face of it, Yes.
A day ticket on the door for adults and children over 90cm is £19.95. If you book online that price comes down to £16.99.
(However, booking in advance commits you to a particular day whatever the weather. A Clubcard ticket is flexible as long as you use it within six months.)
On that basis, you are getting (£19.95 / £5.50 of Tesco vouchers) 3.6 x face value. This is not bad.
You can find special offers for Diggerland online. South Eastern Railway, for example, offers 2 for 1 tickets to the Kent site when you travel by train. In that case, this would halve your entry cost for paying cash and you would only be getting 1.8 x face value of your Clubcard vouchers.
If you can’t find a suitable 2-4-1 offer, using your Clubcard vouchers is a good deal.
How do I book my Diggerland tickets via Clubcard?
You can find out more about using Tesco Clubcard points for Diggerland tickets, and redeem your Clubcard vouchers on this page of the Tesco website.
