15% off selected gift cards – and earn 150 Clubcard points per £50

Tesco has got a new gift cards offer. It was about time, wasn’t it?!

Until 31st July you get 15% off selected gift cards.

The reason for this offer? “Factor 15 goes on 15% goes off” according to the Tesco marketing people. Factor 15 is probably enough living in the UK …. if you go on holiday, it should be 30 or more!!

Included in this offer is a lot of pizza:

  • £20 ASK ITALIAN
  • £20 Pizza Hut
  • £20 Pizza Express
  • £20 Facebook (yep, still don’t know what to do with this one ….)
  • £25 Spafinder

This offer is available in store and from the online gift card shop.

Do NOT buy any other denominations of gift card.  Only the £20 (£25 for Spafinder) cards will get the discount.

As always, you will also receive 150 Clubcard points when you spend £50 on gift cards.

This offer has been running for a few years now and shows no signs of ending, even though it is rarely promoted in stores. It does not include Tesco own-brand gift cards like F+F and other Tesco brands.

How does this offer work?

You need to spend £50 after deducting the saving – that means for example buying two £25 Spafinder cards won’t get you the 150 Clubcard points as they’d only cost £42.50 after deducting 15% .

If you spend less than £50, you won’t receive any Clubcard points at all, as you do not receive base Clubcard points on gift card purchases.

You will receive 150 points per £50, so a £100 purchase will earn you 300 Clubcard points

If you buy in-store, the 150 free points are added at check-out. If you order online, the points do not show on your receipt but will be added a few weeks later. As the current Clubcard collection period ends on 21st July it is better to buy instore – it is unlikely that the points from online orders will go on before the 21st even if you order today.

  1. Don’t forget to factor in the £1.50 standard delivery charge.

Also worth noting that while physical Tesco stores stopped stocking Starbucks gift cards many months ago, this site still has them.
