Until 20th February, you can receive a FREE £5 Marks & Spencer gift card simply by joining cashback site TopCashback via a valid referral link. This is a great opportunity to make an easy £5 if you currently use another cashback site or don’t use one at all.
Before I explain the deal, let me explain a little more about TopCashback.
TopCashback is a site which allows you to earn a small amount of cashback from your day to day shopping by clicking through to participating online shops from its site.
It is very similar to Quidco if you are a member of that site. Nectar eShops also has links to many shops on its site which work on a similar basis, except that you earn Nectar points instead of cash.
If you currently use Quidco or another shopping rewards site, you could take this offer as an opportunity to try TopCashback.
Since Tesco and TopCashback ended their partnership on 31st July 2016 one of the main reasons for using Top Cashback has ceased as you can no longer convert your cashback into Clubcard points.
However as you will receive a £5 M&S voucher after you’ve earned your first £10, you might as well sign up simply to receive the voucher and divert some of your shopping from any other rewards site.
How to join TopCashback
You can join TopCashback by using this link which is the Shopper Points refer-a-friend link.
You need to use a referral link in order to receive a FREE £5 Marks & Spencer gift card.
If you sign up using the general link on the TCB website then you will not receive a bonus as you must be referred by an existing member.
There are two membership levels at TopCashback – a FREE version and a £5 annual fee version. The £5 level pays slightly higher cashback and has improved customer service if you have any problems. To be honest, I would start at the free level and only upgrade when you have decided that you like the site. By default you are enrolled into the £5 annual fee version but this can be easily changed to the free version on this page.
If you use our referral link we also receive a bonus which helps keep Shopper Points ticking over.
You will NOT see this offer advertised on the TopCashback site. However, it is discussed on their blog here. You will definitely get your £5 M&S gift card as long as you use a refer-a-friend link to join.
How do I receive my £5 M&S gift card?
The way this works is a little complex. You need to earn £10 in cashback before you receive the £5 Marks & Spencer gift card but there is NO TIME LIMIT on this.
Once you have earned £10 commission, an extra £5 will be placed in your TopCashback account. This can ONLY be withdrawn in the form of a £5 M&S gift card. All other cashback you earn can be withdrawn as cash to your bank account, via PayPal or via another form of vouchers (Boots, M&S etc).
What should you do next?
If you are not already a TopCashback member, you should open a TopCashback account now and use it as the starting point for your day-to-day online shopping.
If you are already a member, consider referring your partner or adult children. Do not open a second account for yourself as that is against TCB rules.
You can start earning cashback immediately through some of their ‘free money’ offers. For example, Confused.com pays £2.30 for getting a free car insurance quote.
This is a good deal and if you are not already a TCB member it is well worth jumping in. If you currently use Quidco then you should move across to TCB, at least until you have earned enough to trigger the £5 M&S gift card.
As there is no time limit on earning the cashback there is no reason to delay. The last day for signing up to get the M&S gift card is 20th February (9:59 pm, oddly).
