Nectar and Expedia have teamed up to offer you 5 x Nectar points on hotel bookings.
During the promotion period you will receive 1,000 Nectar points per stay instead of the usual 200 Nectar points.
This is definitely an improvement of the usually rather unexciting 200 points, especially if you are booking with Expedia anyway.
Here are the details. Until 19th April, you receive 5 x Nectar points when booking a hotel for hotel stays before 31st August
If you are the sort of person who saves their Nectar points until they can get at least 1p via a promotion, this starts to look interesting. (This page of Shopper Points discusses some of the best value Nectar redemptions.) It is especially interesting on cheap stays, especially as you don’t need to stay a minimum number of nights.
Note that this deal is targetted but appears to be widely available.
We saw Nectar tweeting about it without mentioning it is targetted so the vast majority of cardholders must be eligible – I am, but Rob isn’t, it seems. To check, either look at your offers in the Nectar app or visit this page on the Nectar website – if you see the offer, you’re eligible.
PS. You can also earn Expedia+ points at the same time. To learn about the new Expedia+ loyalty scheme, see this article from our sister travel loyalty site Head for Points.
