What is Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club?

The other day we came across a flyer at the Boots Pharmacy counter telling us to sign up for the Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club.

We hadn’t heard about it before so I decided to sign up.

What is the Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club?

It’s an additional way of earning extra points with your Advantage Card – no effort required!

What do I get?

  • 10 Boots Advantage Card points for every £1 you spend on Boots branded products and No 7
  • 10% off branded varifocal lenses when you buy a complete pair of glasses at Boots Opticians
  • Double Boots Advantage Card points on selected private pharmacy services
  • 150 Boots Advantage Card points when you take a free Boots Hearingcare hearing check

How do I sign up?

You cannot sign up online and you do need to have a Boots Advantage Card already. Take your Boots Advantage Card to a Boots Pharmacy counter and tell them you would like to sign up for the Pharmacy Club. Your card will be scanned and you will be a member for 12 months. After 12 months, you need to renew your membership.

  1. Geoffrey Sheppard says:

We’ve had this card for a while – 10 years I think, we have never had to ‘re-enrol’ every year though. There is also 25% off other glasses.

Another good deal is the contact lens reward scheme whereby you get a free eye check and trial lenses, then pay a monthly DD and get whatever number of lenses you choose every 3 months. As soon as you sign up you can get half price prescription glasses – which saved me over £250 for varifocals, and you could then cancel straight away, although if you cancel before the 3rd DD, you won’t get your first batch of lenses – but you will have saved a lot on your glasses.

  2. I tried to sign up for this yesterday and after 20 minutes of the sales assistant consulting with various managers I was told that the scheme is no longer open to new member. I contacted Boots on their website and got the following response:
“I can confirm that unfortuantely the information that our store colleague has provided you is correct and the pharmacy club is no longer to be active as of Thursday 1st June 2017. Therefore we are no longer accepting new members. Please accept my apologies for disappointement this may cause.”

I guess it was too good to be sustainable! 🙁
