The latest Tesco promotion, which is available both instore and via Tesco Direct, is for a NOW TV box.
At just 250 points for a £20 purchase, this is clearly not something to do purely for the Clubcard points. It may be an interesting purchase regardless.
As well as the points, NOW TV currently comes with one of the following bonuses of your choice:
two months of Sky Movies for free
two day passes for Sky Sports for free
three months of selected Sky Entertainment channels for free
NOW TV has a major benefit over Amazon Fire or Google Chromecast – it lets you stream BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and 4OD and Demand 5. The other two platforms only have BBC iPlayer. You can of course achieve the same effect by connecting your iPad to your TV via an HDMI cable but the NOW TV box is more convenient and probably cheaper, given the price of Apple cables!
(On the other hand, it cannot access Netflix or Amazon Prime Video – a Fire Stick or Chromecast would be better if you were heavy users of those services.)
