Tesco Direct is giving 300 – 600 extra Clubcard points with selected telephones until 31st March. As the last telephone deal didn’t seem that great, I was especially keen to do some price comparison.
There’s only one telephone in the 300 Clubcard points category. The Panasonic KX-TG1612EH Twin Cordless Phone – Black is being advertised as having been reduced in price (from £70 to £60). However Amazon has got the same telephone for £43.
Now this is a good one: The BT 3920 Cordless Twin Phone with Answer Machine – Black comes with 400 Clubcard points. It costs £80 at Tesco Direct – and £40 on Amazon.
The other three telephones that come with 400 extra Clubcard points are also cheaper on Amazon.
The 500 extra Clubcard points category doesn’t have a single telephone worth buying at Tesco Direct. The BT 3920 trio for example costs £110 at Tesco Direct. On Amazon you can get the telephone for £50. Yep, that’s £60 less.
As for the 600 extra Clubcard points? Here we finally have one telephone that costs the same on Amazon. The BT 8600 Quad costs £119 at both retailers, making the Tesco Direct deal clearly better due to the 600 points.
Basically buy the Quad and grab 600 Clubcard points – for any of the others, go to Amazon and save money.
