Now live until next Tuesday – Sainsbury’s Double Up with Nectar (1p per point)

Are you looking for a good excuse to spend your Nectar points? If you want to get more money for your points, it is worth visiting Sainsbury’s this weekend.

Until next Tuesday, 5th April, Sainsbury’s is running a Nectar points double up promotion. Customers can exchange their Nectar points for vouchers worth twice their usual value to spend in 6 departments.

That’s basically 1p per point instead of the usual 0.5p per point.  This could be a good opportunity to empty out your Nectar account.

The six departments included in this promotion are:

  • Tu Clothing
  • Toys
  • Electricals
  • Entertainment
  • Homeware
  • Taste the Difference still, sparkling and fortified wine.

A full list of the categories can be found on the website.  There are exclusions inside each category so read the rules carefully before making a special trip.

double up how much

To exchange your Nectar points for vouchers visit the customer service desk in your nearest Sainsbury’s store (excluding Locals and petrol stations).  You need to choose a department and the value of your voucher (£10, £20, £30 or £40).

All vouchers expire on 5th April.

For terms and conditions check the Sainsbury’s website.  The key snag is that you can only use one voucher per transaction – which limits you to a maximum £40 discount per item – and that only selected departments are included.  You can also only redeem for one voucher per category.  If this is not a problem, it is a good way of running down your Nectar points.

If you haven’t shopped in that particular Sainsbury’s store in the last year, you’ll have to call the Nectar Helpline at the Customer Service Desk before you can proceed for security reasons.
