Clubcard Boost continues …. 5 good value, novel or just plain silly deals to think about

11 days in and I keep finding things included in the Clubcard Boost event that are worth having a look at. And as this is the last ever Boost event we might as well use it to its fullest.

As a reminder, until 26th June the Clubcard Boost event lets you receive DOUBLE the face value of your Clubcard vouchers when redeeming them directly at Tesco in selected departments.

As well as using them for selected items in-store, Boost vouchers can be spent on most things on Tesco Direct. You could, for example, get a cooker or washing machine for half price.

Here are five serious and (a bit) silly items which I found and thought were worth a look:

Let’s start with something useful: Trolley bags! If you still drive to the supermarket instead of getting a delivery, this is for you. No more struggling with bags that won’t stay open, no more throwing everything in the trolley to then throw it in the boot and run a million times from your car to the house. For £20 these bags will make your shopping life easier and with Clubcard boost vouchers they are only £10.

As well as being part of the Clubcard Boost event, selected bikes have also been reduced by 50% or more which means in theory you can get a bike for 25% of its usual price. This Terrain Hallam bike in black was £140 and now costs just £60. In Clubcard Boost vouchers that is only £30!!

Who doesn’t want to pretend to be a rockstar or push their children to become one? Get this Rockburn ST Style Electric Guitar Pack for £100 (or £50 with Clubcard boost vouchers) and start jamming.

I’m not sure if I am the only one, but I didn’t even consider that iPhones would be included in the Clubcard Boost event. I mean iPhones are one of those things that rarely become cheaper before the next one comes out. However, you can get this iPhone 6s with 16GB for £270 in Clubcard vouchers instead of paying £540.  (Although, to be honest, a 16GB iPhone won’t get you far – buy one with more memory if you can.)

And the winner is: An inflatable jacuzzi!! This Bestway Lay-Z-Spa Miami Inflatable Hot Tub for £250 will turn your garden, terrace, balcony or living room into the coolest place ever (and turn you into the coolest person ever if you decide to throw a party).  Probably.

Items that should have made my list but couldn’t due to being sold out were a Frozen karaoke machine and a Star Wars chair.

Let me know if I missed anything else that should have been in the top 5.

Remember that Clubcard Boost is on until 26th June.  That gives me plenty of time to find some more quality items from the darkest corners of Tesco Direct!

  1. Is it correct that Tesco are dropping the quarterly statement and points can be used as and when in future ? I guess they could save a fortune on postage.

  2. Some good ideas.

Rather than hoarding my points for a conversion I picked up a treadmill, reduced from 650 to 450 (the same price as at fitness stores), which saves a lot on gym membership. I also picked up a Dyson cordless vacuum.

I already had an iPhone 6S (64GB) from the November boost.

I would buy a wood-fired hot tub but not that inflatable one, don’t really need it.
