I’ve been waiting for this one to return. I’ve been missing it! Tesco used to run offers on NOW TV every month or so but has had a quiet spell recently.
Until 24th May you will get 500 extra Clubcard points with a £25 NOW TV box and various passes.
If you’re familiar with Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire Stick, NOW TV works in the same way. It connects via wireless to your broadband signal and allows you to stream content to your TV. As well as accessing BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 there are also lots of other channels available, many of which would otherwise require you to pay for a full satellite or cable subscription.
The different passes included are:
- 2 months Sky Movies Pass (click for the Tesco Direct product page)
- 3 months Sky Entertainment Pass (click for Tesco Direct product page)
- 4 months Kids Pass (click for the Tesco Direct product page)
Exchanged at 3 x face value, the 500 extra Clubcard points become £15. Not bad for a product that costs £25.
There may even be an opportunity to sell the boxes on eBay and keep the points …..
This isn’t all. If you want to buy more from the Tesco Direct electrical department, you can get money off your purchase.
If you spend
- £150 you get £20 off – use coupon TDX-KPYK
- £75 you get £10 off use coupon TDX-WNFX
- £40 you get £5 off use coupon TDX-JHMW
The list of products included in this offer is here. These codes expire 7th May.
You need to order by 24th May to get 500 extra Clubcard points.

Might’ve been interested if they included Sky Sports. Never mind…
This really isn’t a great deal though. I bought two Now TV boxes from Tesco Direct last month. One came with a six month entertainment pass, one came with a four month Sky Movies pass. They were £20 each. Argos was selling them at the same price.
I shan’t be using the boxes – I just bought them for the cheap access to Now TV.
I bought my first box in March. It was £15 and came with a three month entertainment pass.
My advice would be to forget the extra clubcard points and wait for a better price.
On 9.3.17 we visited the Prestwich store and sent our views that after noon. I have checked the points before and was told April/May. Now I’ve just read they should be done in 21 days or the first of the month. As we are due a quarterly statement I expect to get these before it’s done.
Be aware that the new firmware for these boxes removes the developer mode that people used to sideload Plex. If that’s what you want the box for, forget it.
If you cancel your subscription you should be offered 4 months for half price (works on both entertainment pass and cinema)
This isn’t a good deal at all. I frequently buy boxes with a 4month movie passes for £20 or 2months for £10.
So this is £15 overpriced. The last lot I got a year’s supply at £9.95 per box+2month movies card.
