When redeeming your Nectar points, you are most likely to get just 0.5p per point which means you might as well use them to knock a couple of Pounds of your Sainsbury’s shop. There are, however, a few Nectar redemptions which claim to offer more than 0.5p per point of value.
Time to find out if these deals are as good as they claim to be.

Today I want to look at various days out redemptions that give you 1p per point instead of the usual 0.5p.
There is currently a selection of 7 attractions where you get £5 worth for 500 Nectar points.
Some attractions accept a Nectar card as payment card at the till which means you don’t need to print off anything prior to your visit. If you don’t have enough points for the full price of a ticket, you can pay the rest by credit or debit card.

There are two attractions where you need to redeem your Nectar points for a ticket online in advance. In these cases you must have the full amount of Nectar points and cannot top up with cash.

Conclusion
Compared to the usual redemptions where you get 0.5p per point, you are getting a better deal redeeming for days out.
You will get 1p per point on the walk up price. If you don’t want to pre-book your tickets to be more flexible about when you go and would otherwise pay cash for the walk up price, you are genuinely getting twice as much for your points.
However, if you have a large Clubcard balance, it’s worth checking out the rate you would get using your Clubcard points instead of Nectar points. There are a couple of days out Clubcard redemptions where the redemption rate is more generous than the Nectar redemption.
