And we’ve got more bad news regarding the Tesco Clubcard changes …..
On Monday Tesco sent an email to some of its members informing them about changes that it had already made to Clubcard redemptions.
Without any notice all Clubcard redemptions were changed to 3 x face value. This means that a small amount of previously 2 x face value are now worth a bit more – we listed them in this article yesterday – but a majority of partners that used to be 4 x face value dropped by 25%.
To put this in context, if you’ve been saving £100-worth of Clubcard vouchers to exchange them for a deal at 4 x face value, you are now only getting £300 of value instead of £400!
Unfortunately the bad news doesn’t end there. A large number of redemption partners are about to be chopped. 57 to be precise.
To give you the chance to make a last minute redemption, I’ve looked at every single Tesco Clubcard redemption partner and made a list of those that have announced that they are leaving the scheme. (Though I think this should have been Tesco’s job and not mine…)
Unfortunately most of these companies are leaving Clubcard on 28th January. This is terrible timing, as the current Clubcard quarter ends on 25th January and you won’t receive your vouchers until early February. This means that you cannot redeem any of the points due to you from the last three months.
Remember that some partners left yesterday with zero notice – figleaves, Spafinder and Treatwell.
Here are the companies where the relevant Clubcard page now states that they are leaving the scheme:

Ouch. Some handy ones there that are leaving.
That’s odd. In a fb message to me yesterday they told me lots of boost deals were being taken down because of this…
“So much so that we’re looking to move more partners to email fulfilment rather than postal! We’re hoping to have this completed by the end of February and until then we’ve removed some of the partners whilst we help them with the change.”
Could this explain these end dates or do you have this confirmed from Tesco that they are definitely end dates?
Seems pretty final to me. For example, from Just Go! Holidays:
“You can exchange your Clubcard vouchers for this partner until 28th January 2018. Any vouchers you receive must be redeemed within 6 months; the expiry date will be shown clearly on your vouchers. Should you wish to refund your existing vouchers for this product please call customer services on 0808 1000 707.”
Definitely end dates based on what is stated on each partner’s page on the Clubcard site!
Great work Anika. You must have some patience! (P.S. think Le Boat should be under travel).
Thanks for this Anika, a lot of painstaking tedious work obviously went into it. Inside Soap magazine also gone according to my unhappy mum.

Hum. Was this an ACCIDENT, really, that Tesco has arranged this timing so you can’t redeem using vouchers you have earned and might be waiting for?
Tesco really does not look like a moral decent company over this.
