Tesco has listened to its outraged members and announced a grace period before the devaluation of its Clubcard Boost redemption partners is final.
On Monday, Tesco announced changes to their Clubcard redemptions with no notice whatsoever.
All redemption partners that were previously 2 x or 4 x face value were to change to 3 x face value. This was good news for everyone who uses their Clubcard vouchers for APH Airport Parking, National Express / Eurolines, Megabus, redspottedhanky.com, Denby or Evans Cycles but bad news for pretty much everyone else.
Putting these changes in place without any notice was simply unfair and resulted in members taking their frustration to Twitter and the media picking up the news. Shopper Points was mentioned in over 50 articles online including The Guardian, The Times, Sky News, BBC News, The Mirror and The Sun. We were mentioned on Radio 4’s ‘You and Yours’ yesterday and I even had to give my first ever radio interview on 5 Live’s drivetime show on Tuesday …….
Luckily Tesco has come to its senses and decided to postpone the changes for another five months.
What this means is that you can wait for your new Clubcard vouchers to arrive in February – and potentially even May – and then spend them at 4 x face value as usual.
As good as this news is there are still 57 Tesco Clubcard partners which are about to leave the scheme.
So, before you cheer up too much about the reversal, take a look at this full list of companies leaving the Clubcard scheme, including the last day to exchange your points:

Hi Anika
I note that the BBC Channel Islands news stream reported this yesterday:

Condor Ferries ‘disappointed’ at being dropped by Tesco Clubcard
Condor Ferries has said it will offer discounted crossings to Tesco Clubcard holders, following the supermarket’s decision to drop the carrier as a partner on its loyalty card scheme.
Shoppers collect points for money spent with the supermarket giant and these then become vouchers which can be used for things including Condor Ferry crossings to the Channel Islands.

Megabus is still 2x and should be 3x now
Redspottedhanky has reverted to 2x until June
Any reason given for this? I thought Tesco said they would leave those which had gone from 2x to 3x with immediate effect.
Now seems the right time for everyone to revisit their shopping loyalties. For some time my wife and I have gone straight to Tesco without shopping around merely to enjoy the restaurant 4X boost offers later. With an effective 25% reduction in their value, the sums become less convincing so we shall abandon our steadfast past loyalty.
