Up to 1,000 extra Clubcard points with BT phones

One thing I’ve noticed over the last few months (or probably even years) is a vast number of articles about smartphone and social media detox in magazines, newspapers as well as online. The Guardian published a 7 day detox back in January.

If you want to take it a step further, you could get a landline and turn your smartphone off when you’re at home.

Tesco Direct is currently offering extra Clubcard points with BT Essential landline phones.

Essential sounds good, but is the price good, too?

The BT Essential Single costs £44.99 and comes with 300 extra Clubcard points. However, the same phone is £34.99 at Argos and Amazon.

The BT Essential Trio costs £89.99 and comes with 600 extra Clubcard points, but I found at John Lewis for £69.99

The only phone considering would be the BT Essential Quad for £99.99 with 1,000 extra Cubcard points, which is still £10 cheaper on Amazon, but you can exchange the 1,000 extra Clubcard points at 3 x face value. Though, you would only need four handsets if you have a very big house…

If you do choose to buy one of these phones, the extra Clubcard points offer expires on 28th March.
