Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club is closing

Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club was a nice little way of earning a few more Advantage Club points.

We wrote about it last May and I hope that many did sign up back then, as the Pharmacy Advantage Club is now no longer open for new members…

Existing members can still enjoy the perks for a few month, depending on when they signed up.

Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club Flyer

As a reminder this is what Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club members get:

  • 10 Boots Advantage Card points for every £1 you spend on Boots branded products and No 7
  • 10% off branded varifocal lenses when you buy a complete pair of glasses at Boots Opticians
  • Double Boots Advantage Card points on selected private pharmacy services
  • 150 Boots Advantage Card points when you take a free Boots Hearingcare hearing check

If you are a member, it might be a good idea to schedule a hearing check and stock up on No7 and Boots branded products.

  1. Any idea as to when it’s all going to close completely? Is it being replaced with a new scheme?

    • It depends on when you signed up as you had to renew your membership every 12 months anyway. So say you signed up in December 2017 your membership will end December 2018.

Haven’t heard of it being replaced with a new scheme… Guess for now it’s just the normal Advantage card, parenting club and the 60+ club.

  2. Wonder what has driven them to make this decision

    • The email I got didn’t mention anything….
      Here’s what they sent me:

      Hello Anika,

We wanted to let you know that you’re coming to the end of your 12 month sign up period for the Boots Pharmacy Advantage Club.

You’ll continue to be part of the club until 10/05/2018, however you won’t be able to re-apply as the club is closing.

Don’t forget, you’ll still collect 4 points for every £1 when you shop in store and online with your Boots Advantage Card.
Why not download the Boots app to keep receiving great offers?

  3. Superdrug vastly cheaper than Boots. Has own loyalty programme.

You’ll not miss Boots if you defect (although if you’re near a branch of Savers, you’ll not miss either).
