Should you exchange your Clubcard vouchers for Uber credit?

Is it worth converting your Tesco Clubcard points into Uber credit? And how do you do it? Uber was one of the new redemption partners which were added last year. Today I want to look at whether Uber is a good use of your Clubcard vouchers.

Not all Clubcard Boost offers are a great deal. This page of Shopper Points helps you decide which is the best Clubcard redemption by listing ALL Clubcard Boost offers based on the multiple of face value you get.

As you can see, offers range from 4 x face value (days out vouchers, restaurant deals) down to 2 x. Even at double the face value, of course, you are getting a better deal than redeeming your vouchers in a Tesco store at face value.

Spending Clubcard vouchers on Uber credit

You can convert your Clubcard vouchers into Uber credit on this page of the Tesco website.

You will need £0.50 of Clubcard points for £1.50 Uber credit. Your voucher code is emailed to you directly and you can then add the credit to your account.

The code is valid for six months from the day you redeem.

Is Uber a good way to spend your Clubcard points?

On the face of it, yes! And I’ve been exchanging my Clubcard vouchers for Uber credit ever since this partnership started.

If you exchange your Clubcard vouchers for Uber credit you get a ‘genuine’ 3 x face value.

For every 50p of vouchers you convert, you receive £1.50 of Uber credit. No catches although, for clarity, you can’t use it for UberRUSH credit. It is only valid for rides in the UK.

What’s even better, you can also use the credit in the UberEATS app to order yourself takeaway food.

If you don’t have an Uber account yet, you can use Head For Points’ sign up code UBERHEADFORPOINTS via this linkto get £3 off your first ride.Alternatively you can download the app and add the code via the promo code box on the ‘Payment’ tab

Agreed. A great use of Clubcard points if you use Uber. Worth adding that for quite a while now, Uber credit once added to the Uber app does not expire.

    • Indeed – the Tesco voucher they send has an expiry but once added it doesn’t expire. Handy as I’ve now got about £800 in Uber credit! (I’m worried they’ll pull the deal). I don’t value at quite 3x though, more 2x as I could have also transferred to BA/Virgin.

Sadly the timing is all wrong on this article 🙂

As of this Sunday, 4x eating out disappears https://www.which.co.uk/news/2018/06/act-now-to-get-the-most-from-your-tesco-clubcard-vouchers/

Redspottedhanky goes up to 3x though

Been covered many times before but 4x eating out only good for Friday and Sat where no other offers valid. During week only 2x really (currently). Not converted this way for ages as now not a fan of going to run of the mill chains on weekends.
