What to expect on this year’s Amazon Prime Day plus some offers already live

Amazon has revealed information about this year’s Prime Day.

The shopping event will take place on Monday 16th July and last for 36 hours.

What is Amazon Prime Day!

If you’ve been living in a forest or on a deserted island the last few years, you might have never heard of Prime Day.

It’s Amazon’s own version of Black Friday – timed around 5 months before the massive ‘I need to buy Christmas presents’ shopping event.

Throughout the day, or in this year’s case 36 hours, Amazon will release a number of incredibly good offers of which most won’t be confirmed until the 16th July.

You MUST be a member of Amazon Prime in order to take part.  However …. nothing stops you signing up for a FREE 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime via this link and then cancelling the next day (or, more sensibly, 29 days later!).  Amazon actually encouraged this last year, knowing that a good percentage of people will decide to keep it.

Some offers are live already

Amazon has launched a special page with offers already live – for Prime members only.

Some of the offers listed are:

A Thomas Sabo bracelet for £49

Wireless earphones by Anker for £59.99 instead of £99

If you are not a member, yet

If you want to check out Amazon Prime without fully committing to it, you can sign up for a 30 day trial.  As well as being able to take part in this year’s Amazon Prime Day, you will also receive:

Unlimited ‘next day’ delivery plus two hour deliveries in selected areas

Unlimited TV and movie downloads via the Prime streaming service

Unlimited photo storage

Ad-free albums, playlists and stations with Prime Music

Read selected magazines and books for free with Prime Reading

Borrow one free Kindle book per month

All Prime benefits are here. After your free 30-day trial, you can continue at £7.99 per month or save by paying £79 upfront for 12 months.

I personally love my Amazon Prime subscription and kept it after the free trial a few years ago. The free next day delivery is super convenient, Prime produces great TV shows and films and I also pay an additional £8 per month to stream unlimited music on my phone.

We will do another article on 17th July highlighting the best deals when we have more details of what offers will be available.
