Redeem 1,000 Nectar points for a Vue cinema ticket – extended?

Nectar and Vue have been running a promotion for a few weeks letting you exchange 1,000 Nectar points for a cinema ticket.

We didn’t cover this offer on Shopper Points, as Nectar had sent out a number of emails – plus we didn’t think the offer was THAT great.

However, when I logged into my Nectar account yesterday I saw that the offer was still showing and would expire in 5 days.

Vue cinema

If you have 1,000 Nectar points and no plans for the weekend, you might want to exchange your points for a cinema ticket.

Note that this is not as generous as the Summer promotions Nectar has been running over the last few years (excluding this year). Back then you could get TWO tickets for 1,000 Nectar points. But with a decrease in great redemption options and a rise in cinema tickets, this could still be an ok way of spending your points.

How do I get my ticket?

Redeem your points via the link on this Nectar page.

You will receive an email with a Vue code which can be used online or at your chosen cinema.

What’s the small print?

One tickets is valid for one person (adult, child, senior, student or teen).

2D films only

London West End (Leicester Square) is excluded

Upgrades are not possible

Voucher codes are valid until 30th August 2019

The offer page is here.

  1. That deal is even worse now tht vue tickets re only £4.99 every day, all day. (At least where I live, is it nationwide?)

    • Wow, our nearest Vue is £5.72 but the Odeon is £13 each!! Why is there such a difference?

  2. It may not be the best deal but it is still 50% off what you normally get at Vue using Nectar points…..and the vouchers are valid until the end of August next year.

  3. OT 500 cc points for the NOW TV box back on in store.

  4. The pitch says

Anika/Rob Waterstones have revamped their loyalty scheme which might be worth doing an article on. Perhaps too niche of a retailer.

  5. Upgrades are possible as long as you pay the difference i.e. upgrading from standard seat to premium.
