Get up to 4,000 Nectar points for switching to Sainsbury’s Energy

Sainsbury’s have teamed up with nPower to start offering their own energy utilities. To entice you to switch they’ve got a Nectar point promotion on, which means you could earn 2,000 points if you switch a single fuel or 4,000 if you switch to a Sainsbury’s Energy dual fuel plan.

You can see the offer on the new Sainsbury’s Energy homepage, here.

The offer only applies to the Sainsbury’s Energy Fix and Reward v1 product, which is a 12-month fixed tariff, so you’ll be immune to price increases for at least a year. You can get a quote here. Make sure to include your Nectar card number during your purchase.

Of course, it’s always worth doing a good comparison of tariffs before selecting one – we don’t know how competitive the Sainsbury’s Energy offer is for your home!

It’s also worth noting that Sainsbury’s Energy supplies 100% renewable electricity – so you’ll know you’re doing your part for the environment!

In addition to the sign up bonus, Sainsbury’s Energy customers will also be eligible for double or triple Nectar points on money spent in-store, depending on whether you went for a single or dual fuel tariff. You can read the terms and conditions here.

I think Shopper Points need a big overhaul – a lot of stuff is out of date. Appreciate HFP is the priority but would be cool to maximize clubcard and nectar as much as possible too. Just tried to earn some free points and some of the links and info are out of date.

There’s way better deals than this, e.g. if you get a friend to refer you to Bulb you can get 50 pounds worth of credit. Here’s my link if you want to check it out. Take a look on uSwitch, they were the cheapest for me. http://www.bulb.me/thomasa9532
